When I started reading this book I thought that probably couldn’t identify with it since I grew up in a conservative menno home. Anyway, I was really surprised with how many things I identified with. And I think maybe, maybe, I understand other generations a tiny bit better. I’m a child of the 80’s and 90’s. Ooo the memories…
You might be a child of the 80’s & 90’s if:
* You’ve heard of 8 track tapes but have never seen any
* When asked your favorite music you say, “anything except _________” (fill in blank)
* You wore a swatch watch
* You wore your stone-washed jacket…. with the collar up
* You taught your mother what a virus is
* Super soakers were also innovative technology
* You understand why people go to a coffee shop to socialize and drink over-priced, trendy coffee beverages
* Your dream outfit as a child was oversized top (with knot at hip), leggings, neon shoes, and 12 plastic bracelets
* When you see pics of MaryKate & Ashley you still think of Full House
* Anything is ok with you except for a condeming attitude
